Theses Submission Process in ShodhGanga

The thesis on INFLIBNET has to be submitted to the repository according to the structure provided for thesis submission. Normally, a research scholar in a structure has to submit his research paper according to his school/college and department by going to his university option.

Research students at INFLIBNET can submit their thesis online or send it via offline email or CD / DVD.

Theses Submission mainly consists of 6 steps

1. Registration/Login

First The Ph.D. student or his research supervisor wants to submit any thesis from the university on his / her biography.

  • Visit INFLIBNET's ETD Website for thesis submission to Shodh Ganga
  • Choose your university and department.
  • The university certificate will have to be Attached and you will have to register with the necessary information to tell who you are the researcher, assistant or university representative.

2. Account Validation

After registering, a mail is sent to INFLIBNET Staff to verify or validate the account. As soon as the account is validated by INFLIBNET Staff, the submitter is matched with a link. The thesis is uploaded by that link.

3. Content / Metadata Submission

  • As the account of the user has been validated and the link to upload the thesis has been found. With this help, the registered user can now create metadata and submit their content to ShodhGanga. It is the responsibility of INFLIBNET staff to create metadata if the user sends their content in the form of email or CD / DVD.

4. ContentVerification of Submitted Metadata

After submission of the thesis and metadata of the research papers, the scholar is verified to be correct. This work is done by the Scholar's Research Supervisor or by INFLIBNET Staff or University Representative.

5. Publish on ETD Repository

  • After being verified, it is published in the ETD repository.
  • If the thesis is submitted before getting the degree, it will be published after getting the information from the university.

6. After the full-text thesis is published

After the full-text thesis is published in the ETD repository of INFLIBNE, the researcher, assistant and university are also informed about the issue through email.

Does ShodhGanga Checks plagiarism of theses

The Shodh Ganga does not check plagiarism. It is only after checking the researcher or its supervisor and the university itself that the thesis has to be sent for publication in Shodhganga.
